KA-17 well unloading to flare through the Kapuni Production
Station low pressure flare during August and October 2022, and March 2023. The remainder of flaring
events from Kapuni Production Station activities (excluding the pilot flare) related to re-starting low pressure
wells, pumping condensate to the tank farm, compressor trips, plant trips, or planned maintenance. No
complaints were received from the public regarding flaring at the production station.

Civil Defence Emergency Group Plan for Taranaki
This Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan for Taranaki was prepared by the
Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the Taranaki Civil Defence

during earthworks at the property. In relation to the Partnership’s administrative performance, although the
contents of the Management Plan have been agreed and been put into practice, a copy of the final version
of the plan has not yet been provided to Council.
For reference, in the 2022-2023 year, consent holders were found to achieve a high level of environment
performance and compliance for 878 (87%) of a total of 1007 consents monitored through the Taranaki
