Environmental performance is concerned with actual or likely effects on the receiving environment from the
activities during the monitoring year. Administrative performance is concerned with the Company’s
approach to demonstrating consent compliance in site operations and management including the timely
provision of information to Council (such as contingency plans and water take data) in accordance with
consent conditions.
Events that were beyond the control of the consent holder and unforeseeable
inspections were undertaken in Opunake. Work scheduled during 2022-
2023 includes manhole inspections and repairs and pipeline repairs.
Larger pumps were installed in the Hector Place pump station in December 2021, resulting in an increased
average flow from 130 m3/hr to 180 m3/hr.
Updated management and contingency plans for the site were received in May 2022.
A small overflow occurred on 4 August 2021 when the pump station fuse box was driven over by a member
of the public resulting in
