Purpose
The purpose of this report is to present the methodology and high-level findings of the Taranaki Regional
Council’s (the Council) community engagement on:
road safety and speed management
cycling, walking and active travel
public transport (including buses and rail), and
the long-term vision for transport in Taranaki.
This report will inform policy development of a Better Travel Choices for Taranaki
the Land and Water team, managing performance, setting clear
expectations, providing mentoring and development opportunities, and fostering a high-
performance culture within the team.
Provide both technical and strategic advice and support to the Manager Science and
Technology, and work alongside the Environment Quality leadership team to contribute to
and implement the Taranaki Regional Council’s strategic and operational plans.
The role encompasses engagement with iwi/hapū, the
thereof, amended, repealed, or revoked by this Act, until a regional coastal plan provides
otherwise.
(6C) For the purposes of this Act, section 12(2)(a) shall not apply in respect of the occupation of any
warehouse, building, wharf, or other structure in or partly within the coastal marine area under any
lease, license, permit, or other authorisation in force immediately before 1 October 1991, and
entered into under section 173(f) of the Harbours Act 1950 (or any former enactment).
