If any of these organisation’s credit rating falls below an
“BBB+” rating as defined by Standard and Poors, then all
practical steps will be taken to eliminate the Council’s exposure
to that registered bank as soon as possible. A “BBB+” rating is
defined as a “strong capacity to pay”.
PROPERTY INVESTMENTS
The Council owns
water, unless the activity is expressly allowed for by a resource consent or a rule in a
regional plan, or it falls within some particular categories set out in Section 14.
TAG Oil (NZ) Ltd holds water permit 9211-1 to take saline groundwater from the
Lower Mateamateaonga Formation for use in water flooding activities. This permit was
issued by the Council on 25 February 2012 under Section 87(d) of the RMA. It is due to
expire on 1 June 2017.
There are seven special conditions attached to
