SFF Waitotara holds water abstraction permit 2261 to take up to 1300 cubic
metres/day (17.6 litres/second) of water from three groundwater bores in the
vicinity of the Waitotara River for meat processing purposes. This permit was issued
by the Taranaki Regional Council on 23 January 1998 as a resource consent under
Section 87(e) of the Resource Management Act. It is due to expire on 1 June 2016.

stipulates that no person may take, use, dam or divert any
water, unless the activity is expressly allowed for by a resource consent or a rule in a
Regional Plan, or it falls within some particular categories set out in Section 14.
Section 15(1) (a) of the RMA stipulates that no person may discharge any contaminant

Section 13(1) (a) of the RMA stipulates that
industry's present practices insofar as housing hens are concerned. The Code will
