Executive summary
Cheal Petroleum Ltd (the Company), a subsidiary of TAG Oil New Zealand Ltd,
the purposes of dune stabilisation at Albany Road, Patea in the Patea catchment.
Green waste from a Hawera based contractor is transported to the site and discharged over
areas of sandy pasture that have undergone aeolian erosion. The green waste helps trap soil
and sand and upon decomposition, adds nutrients and condition to the sandy soils.
This report for the period July 2014 to June 2015 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to
catchment. This report for the period July 2016 to June 2017 describes the monitoring
programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Trust’s environmental

Cheal Petroleum Limited (the Company), a subsidiary of TAG Oil New Zealand
located on Upper Newall Road, Rahotu,
in the Warea River catchment. The quarry has operated since 2004. This biennial report for
the period July 2011-June 2013 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council to assess the Company’s environmental performance during the
period under review, and the results and environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds consent 6441-1 to allow it to discharge stormwater, with sixteen
conditions setting out
landfill located on Bristol Road at
Inglewood, in the Waitara catchment. The sole source of the wood waste is from Value
Timber’s sawmilling operation in Inglewood. Value Timber sells most of its woodchip and
sawdust as calf litter. The remaining material consisting of bark, soil, and soiled
woodchip/sawdust is sent to the Bristol Rd site for disposal.
