this report also assigns a rating as to each Company’s environmental and administrative performance during
the period under review. The rating categories are high, good, improvement required and poor for both
environmental and administrative performance. The interpretations for these ratings are found in

For reference, in the 2021-2022 year, consent holders were found to achieve a high level of environmental
performance and

STDC, this report also assigns them a rating for their environmental and
administrative performance during the period under review.
Environmental performance is concerned with actual or likely effects on the receiving
environment from the activities during the monitoring year. Administrative
performance is concerned with the consent holder’s
consent holders to resource management and, ultimately, through the refinement of methods
and considered responsible resource utilisation, to move closer to achieving sustainable development of the
region’s resources.

consultation document for the 2017/2018 Annual Plan – Statement of Proposal, for public
consultation, and the 2017/2018 estimates.
6.2 The key points in the 2017/2018 Annual Plan – Statement of Proposal were highlighted to
the Council, being:
A 1% general rates increase against a proposed increase of 0.5% for 2017/2018 in the
2015/2025 Long-Term Plan
An extra investment in a trial programme to test large-scale predator suppression
and eradication techniques
Conversely, the administration of the Site is rated as poor. The Council had to continually
prompt the Consent holder, RNZ, for data and when it was provided it was insufficient.
Unauthorized Incidents included the pooling of liquids longer than one hour after
application, the non-notification of deliveries of material from well sites, the lack of
compliance samples for both the pre-land spread material and the re-sown areas, Stage 3 and
the impact on local groundwater quality surrounding the storage
landfill will be required by 2030. These changes are expected to provide households with
consistency across the country and reduce confusion about what is recycled resulting in
higher recycling rates and related reduction in landfill waste and associated emissions.

5 To ensure the running of the farm remains acceptable in the surrounding
environment (which has gradually developed at an increased density) and
any potential effects are at a minimum, AFTL proposes the following
changes with the transition to free range:
(a) Reduction of stocking rate to 15 birds/m2;
(b) Installation of new windbreaks and planting of
conditions mean that both the water
carrying capacity of air and ventilation rates are lower. In these conditions the
improved climate control will allow greater control of internal humidity and litter
moisture content.
