1.1.1 Introduction
This report is the Annual Report for the period July 2013-June 2014 by the Taranaki
Regional Council on the monitoring programme associated with resource consents
held by DH Lepper Trust. The Company operates a piggery situated on Mountain
Road (SH3a) at Lepperton, in the Waiongana catchment.
This report covers the results and findings of the monitoring programme
implemented by the Council in respect of the consents held by the DH Lepper Trust
that
covered our house in soil / dust;
(b) Across the road from our house, the Hibbells graze their dairy R1/R2's
from time to time;
(c) Between Airport 3 Shed and the McDonalds they have their own
chickens in a large pen, maybe 10 layers, they used to be closer to
Kevin's workshop but moved down to the house;
(d) The McDonalds have a herd of Dexter cattle that graze the paddocks
surrounding the chicken farm to the north-west and north-east;
(e) There was until recently a

assessment of the impact of the WWTP’s effluent discharge on the receiving waters
of the Kaupokonui River was performed on 23 January 2020, 34 days after a significant river fresh. Results of
the survey are displayed in Table 7. There was a very low rate of discharge from the ponds system
(estimated at approximately 0.5 L/s) at the time of the survey. The river flow was gauged at 0.48 m3/s
upstream of the discharge. The flow of 0.94 m3/s recorded in the lower reaches of the river (TRC Glenn Road …
in 2007.
Currently the only general municipal landfill in operation in the Taranaki region is the Colson Road landfill,
which is operated by the New Plymouth District Council as a regional facility.
1.3 Resource consents
STDC holds 10 resource consents the details of which are summarised in the table below.
