Executive summary
Greymouth Petroleum Ltd (the Company) operates the Turangi Production Station located on Turangi Road
at Motunui, in the Parahaki catchment. The
wood waste monofill located on Bristol Road at
Inglewood, in the Waitara catchment. The sole source of the wood waste is from the Company’s sawmilling
operation in Inglewood. The Company sells most of its woodchip and sawdust as calf litter. The remaining
material consisting of bark, soil and soiled woodchip/sawdust is sent to the Bristol Road site for disposal.

Impacts on RLTP:
The proposal does not negatively affect any other projects in the
RLTP, nor affect the overall integrity / affordability of the plan.
This is additional funding agreed by NZTA for funding pedestrian
safety at KiwiRail crossing points.
Relationship to the
RLTP’s
operates a cleanfill located on Victoria Road at Stratford, in the
Patea catchment. During the period under review activities at the site expanded to also include a green
waste facility. This report for the period July 2016 to June 2018 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental and
consent compliance performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the
monitoring undertaken

1 Clause 6 – Floodways
Amend Decline
The submitter opposes clause 6.1.
The submitter has a number of services located over and under floodways,
which do not affect the ability of the floodway to function. In some
situations, services are placed on road bridges (e.g. the North Street Bridge
crossing the Waitara River - Map 2c) which would require an authority
under clause 6.1(d).
The submitter seeks the following amendment:
6.1 No person, except Network Utility
landfarming sites, three of the consents associated with these facilities were originally held
by Swift Energy NZ Ltd and were transferred to Origin Energy in 2008 (Kauri A, Spence
Road and Schrider). The forth consent was held by AR Geary.
The sites are located on Geary Road at Manutahi, in the Waikaikai catchment (Geary, Kauri
A and Schrider sites); and on Spence Road, Kakaramea, in the Kaikura catchment. Disposals
at the Kauri A site were completed in 2003, while for Geary and Schrider sites
who spoke in support of their submission to
the Regional Land Transport Plan for Taranaki 2015/16-2020/21: Mid-term review for the
2018/19-20/21 period. The Committee endorsed the Cook Street to Banks Street (New
Plymouth) connector road project noting the benefits of improved vehicle, walking and
cycling access and community safety and residential development.
