operates a road transport depot located on Waitara Road at
Brixton, Waitara, in the Waiongana catchment. The operations at this site mainly involve packaged dairy
related products. Goods are stored under roofed catchments with the remaining areas being paved or
gravel. The site also has a parts wash facility with wastewater draining to sumps and then to the stormwater
system. There is a truck wash onsite that the Trust had advised drains to trade waste. This report for the

Sand deposition has been shown to have a profound effect on intertidal communities in Taranaki, with the
sites at Orapa, Mangati and Greenwood Road (North Taranaki) being particularly prone to periodic sand
inundation. Trend analysis shows that sand cover has increased at the four northern-most SEM sites. This is
likely due to an increased sand supply from the mountain, combined with oceanographic conditions that
shift
The most recent upgrade to seismographs in Taranaki was completed in 2010 and only
minor improvements were undertaken during 2012-13. In October 2012, the sensor at
Newhall Road (NWEZ, Figure 2.1), which was badly affected by wind noise, was replaced by
one in a 44 m deep borehole that had been drilled nearby. As the new site is some distance
from the old site it has a new name and station code, Newhall Road Borehole (NBEZ, Figure
2.1). The signal from NBEZ is substantially quieter than that
Partnership) operates a cleanfill located on Rainie Road at Hawera, in the Inaha
catchment. The cleanfill material discharged at the site is predominantly construction and demolition waste.
This is not typical for cleanfills in the region, which normally only accept minor amounts of acceptable
materials from this type of waste stream.
