1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this document is to record the findings of an internal review carried out by Taranaki
Regional Council (the Council) planning and operation staff of the Council’s pest animal and plant
programmes.
The findings of that review were a starting point for the development and design of future pest
management programmes, which have been set out in a companion document ‘Future directions for
