1.2.3 Toko water supply
The Toko rural water supply, which supplies 32 properties, was originally the water supply for the former
Toko dairy factory. Water is pumped from a bore to a small shed where it is chlorinated and then filtered.
After it has been filtered, the water is pumped to two tanks on a hill above Toko. The tanks have probe
switches to initiate pumping when the water levels in the tanks are low. The pumps are operated so as to
work gradually for longer periods rather than at high
