The Council responds 24/7 to environmental incidents to investigate, and clean up pollution and take enforcement action if necessary. The Taranaki Regional Council office is closed while the Level 4 lockdown is in force, with staff working remotely from home. However, the switchboard remains open for general calls on 06 765 7127. In most cases calls can be put through to staff working remotely from their homes. The environmental hotline, 0800 736 222, remains open 24/7.
