Composting and Bioaerosol Pollution
Bioaerosol is the term used to describe microorganisms (bacteria, fungi/moulds or

WHAT IS BIOLOGICAL
CONTROL?
Biological control of weeds uses one
living organism to control another. Weeds
are generally not native to New Zealand

the wider environment.
The Taranaki Regional Council is part of a
national collective which provides
research, advice and assistance on
biological control of pest
applicant, and their experts, and through additional
observations by me and other Council staff, I continue to recommend that the application to
renew consent 5262-3 is granted, on the term as officers recommend and on conditions to
be finalised taking into account my comments above.
