The difference between the two E. coli attributes relates to the locations and timing of the monitoring. The
first E. coli attribute (NPS-FM, Appendix 2A), aims to provide a regional assessment of E. coli throughout all

FM, Appendix 2B), applies only at sites where primary contact (i.e. swimming) is known to occur, and only
