Communication strategy and
planning
Developing and implementing communications and/or
marketing plans that support Taranaki Regional Council’s
strategic objectives.
Providing communication support and advice to
managers and internal teams.
Identifying issues that present communication risks or
sports grounds. The Government, NZRU, and other
sports bodies could be approached for funding as this would be a massive boost for grassroots sports in our region that would boost NZ as a whole. This image was created in support of the
multisport complex idea by a member of the community. It gives a good idea of how the sports fields and facilities can fit in this area. In short this would be an incredible project for Taranaki
and New Plymouth to undertake that could be completed over the years as
include the Kauri and Tui fields, and the offshore Kupe field.
In April 2018, the Government announced an end to offshore oil and gas exploration in New Zealand. However,
the decision does not affect existing permits.
The presence of oil and gas in the region has given rise to industries involved in the processing, distribution, use
and export of hydrocarbons. Production stations or gas treatment plants are found at Oaonui, Kapuni, Waihapa,
Rimu, Kaimiro and the McKee oil and gas
Taranaki Regional Council's strategic and operational plans.
The role encompasses engagement with iwi/hapū, the community, the science community, and a
range of internal and external stakeholders to successfully develop resource management and
biosecurity policy. Effective communication with a range of audiences is a key aspect of this role.
