Baseline states for submerged plants
The NPS-FM requires all regional councils to identify baseline states for all attributes described in Appendix
2A and 2B of the NPS-FM 2020 within each Freshwater Management Unit (FMU). When compared against
national
loadings on irrigation areas, bio-filter
performance and weather conditions. The Council undertakes inspections of the plant site,
irrigation and burial areas; water quality and biological monitoring in the Inaha Stream and its
tributaries; riparian management, and groundwater surveys, and facilitates community and
Iwi engagement meetings.
The Council’s monitoring programme for the year under review included 14 inspections, 192
water samples collected for physicochemical analysis and two
geographic information system. These layers may be used to assist in developing
maps showing evacuation areas, in accordance with the Ministry of Civil Defence and
Emergency Management guidelines.
2 Method of Analysis
A typical tsunami wave analysis usually includes a method of generating the offshore
waves using a model which simulates underground movement of the earth (an
earthquake or underwater landslide), which then causes the rapid rise or fall of the

Condition 8 requires the consent holder to survey and map the position of the
structures.
Condition 9 requires the consent holder undertake pre and post-lay surveys of the
pipeline corridor.
Condition 10 states that the structure shall be removed and the area reinstated, if and
when it is no longer required.
Conditions 11 and 12 deal with lapse and review of consent.
Origin Energy holds consent 6533-1 to occupy the coastal marine area for a distance of
250 metres

The Mimi Estuary Key Native Ecosystem is located on crown and private land
approximately 5.5km north east of
