evidence on relating to its application to renew consents to enable the
operation of its waste treatment and recycling facility at Uruti in northern
Taranaki.

Surveys in 2019 and 2020 also helped understand the needs
and barriers faced by the business sector in reducing waste.
The Resource Wise Business Programme helps businesses
reduce waste to landfill in the commercial and industrial
sector. Businesses attend introductory workshops, nominate
two or more waste champions and commit to the four-year
programme. A waste minimisation officer conducts yearly
audits with
immediately comply with the NES-F.
During your annual inspection for dairy effluent discharge consents, the Taranaki Regional
Council (the ‘Council’) inspecting officer will also check if you have a feedlot or stockholding
area and if so, whether you need to apply for a resource consent.
If you require a resource consent for your stockholding area please speak to the Council about
your options.
