1920s. Afterwards some areas
remained forested while others were used for pasture
or pine plantations. Now, more than 80 years
later, the forest is covering the land once more.
Pukeiti’s Rainforest tracks take you through this
regenerating rainforest with remnant pockets of
mature forest and some ancient rimu trees. There are
spectacular views of the Tasman Sea, the Pouakai and
the Kaitake mountain ranges.
Be prepared for possible changes in weather conditions.
There are
the poultry sheds at the time odour diary
entries.
3 I have provided a Microsoft Excel sheet which includes bird age, cleanout
times and whether birds or litter was present at the time of an odour diary
entry. I have also included in the Excel sheet the dates since March 2020
for chick placement, last catch days, litter removal (rows highlighted green)
and fresh clean shavings (rows highlighted yellow). This sheet is attached
and named "A1: Odour Diaries ".

What bait is best and where do I get it?
Salted rabbit meat is the best all round but fresh rabbit is better if replaced very
frequently. Eggs, sardines and salted beef are also good alternatives as well as many
specialist stoat lures. Please contact us if you need help choosing or obtaining bait.
How often should I check my traps?
You should check and re-bait traps monthly, more often if you can.

The Council’s monitoring programme for the year under review included one site inspection, two marine
ecological inspections, and two routine physicochemical samplings of the indoor or outdoor pool water, and
receiving waters.
The monitoring showed that the samples from the indoor and outdoor pools and coastal waters adjacent to
the outfall were compliant with consent limits, and did not appear to have any significant effects on the
