Rainfall for June was on average 146.5% of the long-term average, and ranged from 96.4% at Kahui Hut to 205.8% at Pohokura Saddle in East Taranaki. Rainfall was elevated on the southern side of the Maunga and central and northern hill country. Year to date rainfall is sitting between 95.5% (Kotare at OSullivans) and 198.8% (Kapoaiaia at Lighthouse) with an average of 126.9% of normal. Mean river flows for June were way up from May, and are generally above typical June averages at around 159.2%

Management Act 1991. Staff time is recovered at the charge appropriate to the task which they are
undertaking. The charges are calculated as per the IPENZ method with a multiplier of 2.1. All collection costs incurred in
the recovery of a debt will be added to the amount due. Overdue invoices will incur an interest charge at 12% per annum.

1.1.3 The Resource Management Act 1991 and monitoring
The RMA primarily addresses environmental ‘effects’ which are defined as positive or adverse, temporary or
permanent, past, present or future, or cumulative. Effects may arise in relation to:
a. the neighbourhood or the wider community around an activity, and may include cultural and social-
economic effects;
b. physical effects on the locality, including landscape, amenity and visual effects;
c.
there is a high proportion of maintenance costs
such as scrub clearance associated with low
producing land, the financial return may

(Bell Block / Waitara) were most frequently mentioned
in this regard.
