We believe Taranaki’s long-running programme includes native planting, which is likely to
be required in most places in the future. Our efforts to date have placed our region well ahead

District Council instigated plans to establish a large landfill in the
Eltham area. The purpose of this site was to ultimately accept waste from the South Taranaki
and Stratford Districts. The plan was changed to allow for a regionalised approach to waste
disposal and the site is now currently proposed to an option to be the replacement regional
landfill once the facility at Colson Rd, New Plymouth has reached capacity. The final
decision is subject to review of all alternatives to undertaken by
hydraulically fractured and are now producing.
This report describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional
Council (the Council) to assess Todd Energy Limited’s environmental performance in
relation to drilling operations at the Mangahewa-C wellsite during the period under review,
and the results and environmental effects of Todd Energy Limited’s activities.
Todd Energy Limited holds a total of six resource consents for the activities at the
Mangahewa-C wellsite, which
grade lactose plant located on Manaia Road at Kapuni, in the Kaupokonui catchment. The
plant processes whey and permeate from dairy product manufacture around the North
Island. This report for the period July 2015-June 2016 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s
environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds a total
holders in the Fitzroy area of New Plymouth. The report covers the period July 2016 to June 2017, and is the
24th report for this combined monitoring programme.
The Waiwhakaiho River catchment is significant for the Taranaki region. It is used for domestic, agricultural
and industrial water supply, hydroelectric power generation, recreational purposes, and waste assimilation.
It is also important to the local hapu. Because of the pressure on the river, the Taranaki Regional Council
(the
