Operations and
The Enviroschools Programme is a long-term, whole-school programme, where schools create their own unique pathway to sustainability. The Taranaki Regional Council coordinates the Enviroschools programme in Taranaki, working alongside regional partners. At the start of 2022, 44 schools and 25 kindergartens in Taranaki participate in the Enviroschools programme. That's more than 9,500 students. Resource Management Act. The Council
offers free advice to landowners with
respect to the retirement and planting of
riparian margins.
The Council’s policy is to encourage good
management of riparian margins by
landholders, who are in the best

regional land transport strategies and regional land transport
programmes were replaced by a new single regional planning
document – the regional land transport plan, which combines elements
of both former documents.
The first such plan for the region, the Regional Land Transport Plan for
Taranaki 2015/16–2020/21 (the Plan or RLTP), was developed during
2014/15 and approved by Council on the 7 April 2015. It came into
effect on 1 July 2015.
The Plan’s role is to provide
