hydrological monitoring was undertaken by maintaining the McColl’s Bridge flow recorder.
The monitoring showed that overall the scheme operated within resource consent requirements for the vast
majority of the period being reported. During this period, the Company was fully compliant with lake levels
and the rise and recession rate restrictions for the lower Patea River. The Company provided adequate
residual flows within the Patea River at all times, with the exception of one incident that was the …
1.1.4
Besides discussing the various details of the performance and extent of compliance by
the consent holder/s during the period under review, this report also assigns a rating
as to each Company’s environmental and administrative performance.
Environmental performance is concerned with actual or likely effects on the receiving
environment from the activities during the monitoring year. Administrative
performance is concerned with the Company’s approach to demonstrating consent
compliance

24 The Officer’s Report proposes Condition 37, which details the
requirements for a Site Exit Plan (SEP). Condition 37 proposes a
start date for preparation of the SEP (within 3 months of the
commencement date of these consents). I recommend the
inclusion of a date that the

Stormwater from the site continued to be diverted to containment ponds, with the stormwater batch released
after quality checks. Sample results for the discharge samples collected by the Council were within those
prescribed by consent conditions.
Particulate deposition from air emissions was, in general, similar to the previous monitoring periods. At the
monitoring site west of the plant site the lactose deposition rate was found to be 7% over the guideline
physicochemical analysis and three biomonitoring surveys of receiving waters. In
addition, monthly emission results and abstraction records were provided to the Council which were
reviewed.
The monitoring showed that the Stratford Power Station continued to be well managed with negligible
environmental effects as a process of the exercise of their consents.
Surface water abstraction was compliant with daily rate and volume. Process water discharges were
compliant with consent defined …

Regional rates outlook stable
The Taranaki Regional Council has signalled
essentially no change in rates next year
despite plans to expand some programmes.
The Council’s draft budget for 2015/2016
envisages an overall decrease of $34,594, or
