Other
exploration site located on Rimutauteka Road at Waitui, in the Waitara catchment. The site is
called Mangahewa-D wellsite. This report covers the period from August 2014 to December
2015. During this period, four wells (MHW-21, 22, 23, and 24) were drilled and tested. The
hydraulic fracturing programme is ongoing. This report describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s
environmental performance in relation to drilling
production station located on Otaraoa Road near Tikorangi, bridging
the Waitara and Onaero catchments. The McKee Production Station processes oil and gas from the
Company’s McKee and Mangahewa groups of wellsites and includes electricity generation and LPG
production facilities. This report for the period July 2017 to June 2018 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental and
consent compliance performance during
direct farm income from milk production,
the added value by the processing of milk, whey and
cheese manufacturing, is a significant contributor to
employment.
Sheep and beef farming are concentrated in the hill
country and also play an important part in the regional
economy.
Exotic forest plantations continue to expand, with the
region offering a suitable climate, good forestry sites

Waingongoro River are descendants from the tangata whenua tribes that landed at Te Rangatapu on the Te Rangiuamutu waka
captained by Tamatea-Rokai & also from the Aotea Utanganui waka. This river also had an abundance of fish species resources
including tunaheke, piharau, inanga, pakotea & kokopu.

Located at the end of Puketapu Road this area continues to be
out to sea. This sand builds a sandhill on the sea floor under the water called a sand bar.
After the storm passes the waves bring the sand from the sand bar back to the beach. Onshore
winds blow the sand to the dunes and therefore help to rebuild the sand dune again, in
preparation for the next storm.
So what can we do?
Unfortunately many buildings and roads were built too close to the sea before we understood how
the coast works. But we can try to protect remaining sand dunes by
operates the Maui Production Station located on Tai Road,
Oaonui, in the Ngapirau catchment, and the Kapuni Production Station located on
Palmer Road in the Kapuni catchment. The Company holds resource consents to allow
it to discharge into the Ngapirau and Kapuni Streams, to discharge emissions into the
air, and to erect and maintain various structures associated with the production
stations.
