In May 2019 NPDC advised that they were unlikely to meet this timeframe as a single project, as it would be
out of step with an existing wider strategic plan to upgrade the infrastructure at the lake. As the consent
was due to expire in June 2021, it was recommended that NPDC address these issues in their consent

2.3.1 Discussion of site performance
The site has been closed for approximately 30 years and no incidents or complaints were logged by Council
during the year under review. The consent holder has a management and contingency plan in place for the
site.

In the past it has been difficult to accurately gauge the effects associated with the discharge of
