consent was received, however this dam remained unconsented until this application was processed in
October 2017.
These consents require the structure to provide of fish passage and require the maintenance of fish passage
structures. Consent 6459 (to undertake maintenance of the Konini weir) also sets out requirements for
notification of works, timeframes for works and limits effects in the

1.4.1 Introduction
Section 35 of the RMA sets out obligations upon the Council to gather information,
monitor, and conduct research on the exercise of resource consents,
under
Section 87(e) of the Resource Management Act. It is due to expire on 1 June 2022.
Special conditions 1 and 2 require the consent holder to prepare and maintain a site
contingency plan, and site management plan.
Special condition 3 deals with notification of amendments to these plans.
Special condition 4 requires that the consent be exercised in accordance with
information supplied in the application.
