Matters Arising:
Ms K Hope - New Plymouth District Council, apologised for not planning the
workshop as discussed at the last meeting. Kimberley suggested that she could present
the New Plymouth District Council’s presentation after the meeting. The members
agreed.
Food in schools, Ms K Hope - New Plymouth District Council, will provide an update
at next meeting.
2. Regional Waste Minimisation
revised Regional Public Transport Plan, will be workshopped with
councillors on 6 September and considered for consultation at the 11 September
2023 meeting
c) noted the parallel work underway by the district councils to develop speed
management plans for their districts, which will be collated into the first
Regional Speed Management Plan for Taranaki.

WinnerGlenn and Lynda Howatson - For leadership and excellence in environmental stewardship or sustainable farming and land use practices. The eastern hill country farmers have planted more than 7,000 riparian plants and fenced hundreds of metres of waterways and taken steps to protect six wetlands. They hold a TRC Comprehensive Farm Plan and have used STRESS funding to plant trees on 37ha on their
introductory certificate, be under the direct supervision of someone who holds the appropriate GROWSAFE qualifications, or hold other qualifications that meet the requirements of the Regional Air Quality Plan.
