Towards Predator-Free Taranaki - Taranaki Taku Tūranga is building on the community’s successful biodiversity work, including the Self-Help Possum Programme, Riparian Management Programme and protection of key native ecosystems. And it’s already getting

future expansion of these programmes and champion the inclusion of community
groups who are making a huge contribution to these shared outcomes and
proactively seeks ways to partner with these groups.
The Trust supports additional funding for beefing up scientific monitoring and
investigation, increased biodiversity investment, and increasing consent
processing capacity. The smaller funding boosts for building local bus services,
extending the education

protection and enhancement

the government, Council’s NPSFM work programme has continued,
but staff are considering the best approach and programme for this work given the uncertainty about
future changes.
