Volunteering for Taranaki CDEM
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Taranaki Civil Defence
Emergency Management (CDEM).
We warmly welcome everyone of all ages and abilities who want to make a
difference in their communities.
The work that CDEM groups do before, during and after emergencies is highly varied, and therefore
requires a wide variety of people with different skills and perspectives.

programme titled 'Taranaki Blowout' kept me
particularly busy in the latter half of last year.
We hear plenty about the 'crowded curriculum',
so we were greatly encouraged by the response
from schools towards it. Mind you, after taking
ten staff meetings and over sixty classroom
lessons on the topic, I began to think I was close
to blowing up myself but it was all well worth it.

Introduction
This information sheet follows on from the information
