trips under the programme. Feedback from schools,
teachers and students is consistently positive.
The Council intends to continue this fruitful
partnership with the region’s schools, and also to
broaden its educational outreach by funding a regional
position for the Enviroschools organisation. This
organisation takes a whole-school approach to
promote long-term action on sustainability and
environmental protection. It
