Most of the hazard information used for this project has been prepared at a regional scale and does not
replace any requirement for detailed site-specific geological, geotechnical or other investigation. Readers
of the report are advised to consult with Taranaki Regional Council as to the suitability of hazard
information used in this report for other applications.
Infrastructure information in this report is current at the time of
biological monitoring surveys indicated that the discharge of treated stormwater and leachate
discharges from the Colson Road landfill site had not had any significant detrimental effect on the
macroinvertebrate communities of the Puremu and Manganaha Streams, or the unnamed tributary of the
Puremu Stream.
Air quality monitoring showed that there were no significant adverse effects in relation to suspended
particulates, dust deposition rates or odour beyond the site boundary.

What trap should I use to catch possums?
Many types of traps have been developed over the years to
kill possums. We have chosen to use Trapinators for the
urban New Plymouth project. The Trapinator is an effective
trap that can be set off the ground (away from pets and
small hands) and is easy to use for those new to trapping.
