This is the Taranaki Regional Council’s Pre-Election Report for the October 2016
local authority elections. The purpose of this Pre-election Report is to inform the
regional community and to promote
Regional Council Long Term Plan 2024-2034 including its Mission Statement and
Organisational Values
• Taranaki Regional Council Code of Conduct 2022
• Taranaki Regional Council Model Standing Orders 2022-2025
• Taranaki Regional Council Local Governance Statement 2022-2025
d) noted that the report produced as a part of the Council Conduct Review will be presented to a
future Ordinary Council meeting to enable decisions to be made as to what, if anything, should
be done with
Council:
a) takes as read and confirms the minutes and resolutions of the Executive, Audit and Risk
Committee held in the Taranaki Regional Council Chambers, 47 Cloten Road, Stratford
on Monday 20 June 2022 at 10am
b) notes the recommendations therein were adopted by the Taranaki Regional Council on
Tuesday 28 June 2022.

Executive, Audit & Risk Committee -
Construction will soon get underway at Taranaki Regional Council to replace an earthquake-prone building and carry out long-overdue upgrades. The Council buildings on Cloten Road, Stratford have a long history and in the 1900s were the site of the Stratford Co-Operative Dairy Factory. Inspections in recent years revealed the office block west of the main administration building does not meet earthquake standards. Asbestos and toxic mould were also found to be present in that building. A review
regional sector councils and Te Uru Kahika to act collaboratively and deliver solutions that, in
the normal course of events, would be unaffordable or unachievable. Further, it assists the sector to act and
speak as one.
Over the last few years, RSHL has successfully grown the range of collaborative services that it provides
together with the range of regional and unitary councils benefiting from those services. After several years of
transformation, this Statement of Intent
at 47 Cloten Road, Stratford on 1 March 2023 at 10.30am
b) notes that the unconfirmed minutes of the Taranaki Regional Transport Committee held
at 47 Cloten Road, Stratford on 6 June 2023 at 10.30am, have been circulated to the New
Plymouth District Council, Stratford District Council and the South Taranaki District
Council for their receipt and information.
