This report is for the period July 2020 to June 2021 by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on the
monitoring programme associated with resource consents held by Trustpower Ltd (the Company) in relation
to the Patea Hydroelectric Power Scheme (HEPS). This scheme is located on the Patea River on Maben Road,
near Hurleyville.
The report includes the results and findings of the monitoring programme implemented by the Council in
respect of the consent/s held by the Company that
unnamed coastal stream; the discharge of stormwater and sediment to land; the discharge of dairy
factory wastewater to the Tasman Sea; the discharge of laboratory waste and unprocessable wastes to waste
pits; the discharge of dairy liquids to land and the discharge of emissions to air.
