Executive summary
The New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) operates a crematorium located on Junction Road, New
Plymouth. This report for the period July 2021 to June 2022 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess NPDC’s environmental and consent
compliance performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the
monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of NPDC’s
Emergency Management Act 2002)
(b) regionally significant infrastructure identified as
such in a regional policy statement or regional plan
(c) any water storage infrastructure
(d) any public flood control, flood protection, or
drainage works carried out:
(i) by or on behalf of a local authority, including
works carried out for the purposes set out in section
133 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act
1941; or
(ii) for the purpose of drainage by drainage districts
under the Land

During the monitoring period, Tamarind New Zealand Onshore Ltd demonstrated a high level of
environmental performance and a high level of administrative performance.
