The New Zealand dotterel is a
threatened species listed as
‘nationally vulnerable’. Once
widespread, there is now an estimated
population of only 1400 birds left in
the whole of New Zealand.

If you intend to use synthetic nitrogen fertiliser after 1 July 2021 it is important to
consider the new and existing requirements and whether you will need to apply for a
resource consent.

CONSERVATION
King fern is a native New Zealand
species that is endangered and listed as
‘at risk’. It is declining in Taranaki and
highly threatened within its normal
habitat. Several large populations of
king fern have recently been wiped out.
There are several sites in Taranaki
where king fern has been re-introduced
and surviving well.
