Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess STDC’s environmental performance during
the
Whenuku Road in the
Waingongoro catchment. This report for the period July 2011-June 2013 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the
Company’s environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds one resource consent, which includes 10 conditions setting out the
requirements that the Company must satisfy. The Company holds resource consent 7845-1 to
the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the environmental performance of
consent holders in the Hongihongi and Herekawe catchments during the period under
review.
The Hongihongi Stream discharges at the western end of Ngamotu Beach, New Plymouth.
Nine resource consents, which include a total of 60 conditions, are held by seven companies
situated on Breakwater Road, Ngamotu Road and Centennial Drive. There are six consents
to discharge stormwater;

25th report for this combined monitoring programme.
The Waiwhakaiho River catchment is significant for the Taranaki region. It is used for domestic, agricultural
and industrial water supply, hydroelectric power generation, recreational purposes, and waste assimilation.
It is also important to the local hapu. Because of the pressure on the river, the Taranaki Regional Council

by Greymouth Petroleum Acquisition Company Limited [GPL]. The Company
operates the Kaimiro Production Station situated on Upland Road at Inglewood, in the
Waiongana catchment. GPL also operates the Ngatoro-A and Ngatoro-B producing
wellsites. The Ngatoro-A wellsite is located on Upper Dudley Road and the Ngatoro-B

waterway quality. The rate of implementation of riparian work is
accelerating and to date, farmers have completed 3,558km of new
fencing and 1,766km of new riparian planting. In total, 80% of
stream banks are fenced and 65% of streambanks are vegetated.
