times of inspection.
Staff on site were cooperative with requests made by officers of Taranaki Regional Council
with any required works being completed quickly and to a satisfactory standard.
There were no Unauthorised Incidents recorded in respect of this consent holder during the
period under review.

Drilling fluids and cuttings
Block, in the Mangaone and Mangati catchments. Processing of copper and brass (copper/zinc) at the
plant ceased in June 2002 and January 2003, respectively. This report for the period July 2017 to June 2018
describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess
MASL’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period under review. The report
details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of
KA6/11/17 wellsites, respectively.
The consents were issued by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on 28 March 2012
(7995-1 and 7996-1) and 5 April 2012 (7998-1). Each consent contains a total of 14 special
conditions which set out the requirements that STOS must satisfy.
The following report for the period April 2014 to March 2015 outlines and discusses the results
of the monitoring programme implemented by the Council in relation to the programme of

The Council’s Marine Oil Spill Response
Regional Council (the Council) adopted a water
management plan for the river in September 1991.
At the end of the 2015-2016 monitoring period a total of 22 consents were held by the 14
industries monitored under this programme that discharge wastewater, stormwater and/or
leachate from the industrial area at Fitzroy, New Plymouth to the lower Waiwhakaiho River
and Mangaone Stream, or to land in the lower Waiwhakaiho and Mangaone Stream
catchments. The activities and impacts of the consent
Taranaki Regional Council to assess the Company’s
environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
During the monitoring period, the Company demonstrated an overall high level of
environmental performance at both sites.
For the Maui Production Station, the Company holds a total of four resource consents;
two relating to discharges to water, one consent to discharge emissions to the air, and
one to maintain a
wastewater to the Kurapete Stream. The previous consent
expired in June 2003 and was renewed in September 2004. The renewed resource consent
includes a total of 13 special conditions setting out the requirements that NPDC must satisfy.
During the monitoring period New Plymouth District Council demonstrated an overall
high level of environmental performance.
This report for the period July 2014 to June 2015 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council
inasmuch as is appropriate for each
activity. Monitoring programmes are not only based on existing permit conditions, but also on the
obligations of the RMA to assess the effects of the exercise of consents. In accordance with Section 35 of
the RMA, the Council undertakes compliance monitoring for consents and rules in regional plans, and
maintains an overview of the performance of resource users and consent holders. Compliance monitoring,
including both activity and impact monitoring, enables the
