Executive summary
The Lower Waiwhakaiho area of New Plymouth accommodates several industries that include two abrasive
blasting operations and an asphalt plant. The companies hold
(National Environmental
Standards for Plantation Forestry) Regulations 2017.
Applicants must respond to all of the questions. Responses to most questions must be made in
documentation to be attached.

Executive summary
Greymouth Petroleum Ltd and its subsidiaries (the Company) operate a number of wellsites across the
Taranaki region, with major fields
Introduction
This report is for the period July 2020 to June 2021 by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on the
monitoring programme associated with resource consents held by Waste Remediation Services Ltd here
after referred to as the Company. The Company operates a landfarm situated on Lower Manutahi Road at
Manutahi, South Taranaki, in the Mangaroa catchment.
The report includes the results and findings of the monitoring programme implemented by the Council in
respect of the consent
implementing monitoring programmes,
the Council is recognising the comprehensive meaning of ‘effects’ in as much as is appropriate for each
activity. Monitoring programmes are not only based on existing permit conditions, but also on the

obligations of the RMA to assess the effects of the exercise of consents. In accordance with Section 35 of
the RMA, the Council undertakes compliance monitoring for consents and rules in regional plans, and
maintains an overview of the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the
Company’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period under review. The report
also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the
Company’s activities.
The Company holds two resource consents, which include a total of 34 conditions setting out the
requirements that the Company must satisfy. Resource consent 0715-4.1 allows the discharge of treated
effluent to land and
the minutes and resolutions of the Ordinary meeting of the
Taranaki Regional Council held in the Taranaki Regional Council chambers, 47 Cloten
Road, Stratford on Tuesday 2 November 2021 at 10.30am.
