only one site that is showing deterioration in this measure. Long term trends for faecal coliforms and
enterococci bacteria showed statistically significant changes over the 22-year period for one or other
species at four sites, out of eleven, with improvement at one site (Punehu Stream at Wiremu Road) and
deterioration at three sites (Waiwhakaiho River at SH3, Mangaoraka Stream at Corbett Road and Punehu
Stream at SH45).

SWACO, operates two
drilling waste stockpiling facilities and a landspreading operation on his property, near
Inglewood, within the Waitara catchment, Taranaki. These sites are located on adjoining
properties off Derby Road North and Surrey Road respectively. Analytically quantified
drilling waste, consisting of water based and synthetic based muds are stockpiled at each
facility prior to application across defined paddocks at specific, concentrations below the limits
specified within the

The Uruti Composting Site (UCS) is 38 km from New Plymouth situated at 1460 Mokau
