1.1.1 Introduction
This report is for the period July 2023 to June 2024 by Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on the
monitoring programme associated with resource consents held by two concrete batching plants in the
Taranaki Region, Firth Industries on Glover Road in Hawera, and Fletcher Concrete and
Operations and Regulatory Committee 15 October 2024
Resolved
That the Taranaki Regional Council:
a) took as read and confirmed the minutes of the Operations and Regulatory Committee of the
Taranaki Regional Council held on 15 October 2024 at Taranaki Regional Council 47 Cloten
Road Stratford
b) noted the recommendations therein were adopted by the Taranaki Regional Council on
Tuesday 29 October 2024.

Safety Improvements in regards to traffic speed through Egmont Village and road
noise impacting the Egmont Village School.

4. Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency Update
4.1 Ms L Stewart, Director - Regional Relationships, Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport
Agency, gave a presentation updating Members on activities of the Agency.
4.2 The TRC expressed concerns over its role in co-ordinating the regional speed
management plan whilst not being a road controlling

approximately 1.5ha of land adjacent to the New Zealand Oil Services Limited storage facility (Figure 2).
