Mr A D McLay, Director-Resource Management, advised the Council that an
inspection on a property in North Taranaki, where dung beetles were released 30 years
ago, has found evidence that the beetles are still there. The Council will undertake
some monitoring in the area to establish population levels and spread.

What does ‘waste’ actually mean?

March 2020 to plan for and manage health actions in
response to COVID-19. On the 11 March 2020 the Taranaki Emergency Coordination
Centre (ECC) activated to monitor and prepare for CDEM response. A Joint Regional
Response strategy was established with Taranaki District Health Board (TDHB) and
briefings provided to welfare and lifeline agencies.
An ECC liaison to TDHB IMT was established on Monday 16 March 2020; and the first two
confirmed cases in Taranaki were confirmed.
