I hope you all managed to get some rest over the
last fortnight after what seemed to be a very wet
term three. I am sure there were many times
when you wondered if the wet weather was ever
going to end. You had good reason to think that
way, as according to Council records all of our
analysed as received at the laboratory.
Samples are held at the laboratory after reporting for a length of time depending on the preservation used and the stability of
the analytes being tested. Once the storage period is completed the samples are discarded unless otherwise advised by the
client.
This certificate of analysis must not be reproduced, except in full, without the written consent of the signatory.

This year the theme for Get Ready Week is
Prepared Kids. The Ministry of Civil Defence
Emergency Management (MCDEM) is launching
its redeveloped schools resource 'What's the
Plan Stan?' on 10 October as part of Get Ready
Week 2016.
The new resource is designed to encourage
schools to update their emergency preparedness
plans and to build resilience as a life skill for their
students. The aim is also for students to
encourage their families to be more prepared.

ecosystems, regionally significant wetlands and
regionally significant surf breaks.
Identification of regional significance allows Council to apply higher levels
of regulatory protection and also target funding and work programmes
towards maintaining and enhancing values in these more important areas.
This makes practical sense from a resource management point of view by
recognising that not all areas warrant the same degree of protection and
that there are not unlimited resources

I do not support any one of the above options in full. I support an
earthquake repair to the stadium in some scale but I do not support the $19
million of enhancements which should be accounted for within the
existing asset management plan. I am a former club rugby member and
player and I love the sport but I do not wish to see such a large take of rate
payers money go towards enhancements that is only used by an elite few.

With regards to effects that this discharge may have on the values of Opunake Lake, it is intended to manage
the abstraction so that only clean water is taken, with the principal contaminant being tannins and some sand.
The impacts of tannins will be minimal, with a short-term reduction in light

The instrument was logging an instantaneous measurement every second, and then
converting this data to generate one minute averages, over the duration of the sampling
period.
