EV bus joins Taranaki’s public transport fleet

Taranaki’s public transport fleet is going greener and quieter with the addition of an e-bus on urban routes in New Plymouth. Taranaki Regional Council has secured funding from Waka Kotahi/NZTA’s Climate Emergency Response Fund for the electric vehicle – the first e-bus to hit the roads in the region. A new Waitara Express bus service is set to hit the road this month – halving the journey time between the township and New Plymouth. Taranaki Regional Council is launching the State Highway 3 service on 20 May after community calls for improved links in North Taranaki. Marine seismic survey is a method of exploration geophysics that uses active acoustic sources to estimate the structure, stratigraphy and properties beneath the sea floor.
