Terms 2 and 3 saw us widen our reach by bringing on
our next bunch of schools. We welcome the following

Marfell School
Marfell Community School in New Plymouth has recently partnered
with Enivroschools and have really impressed with their
enthusiasm and commitment to the kaupapa.
Classes have been learning about the flora and fauna in their own
‘backyard’ by examining biodiversity and pest control, as well as
exploring other themes such as energy.
This term Room 3 students (teacher Catherine Steenson with yrs 3-
5) have been exploring the theme
development, and require long-term regional spatial
strategies; and
• Managed Retreat and Climate Change Adaptation Act (CCAA) to
address the issues associated with managed retreat and funding and
financing adaptation.

28.4% greater and and high flows 68.6% lower than typical values while Mean river (non-mountain) water temperatures were 10.7°C, an average of 1.4°C cooler than usual. The average air temperature for the region (excluding Te Maunga sites) was 10.9°C, which is 1.6°C cooler than usual for May. The top air temperature recorded in May was 19.89°C at Brooklands Zoo at New Plymouth on 3 May. The highest wind gust recorded was 101.2km/hr at Kapoaiaia at Lighthouse, at 3:50pm on 29 May. May average wind
permit 7559-1.3, to discharge drilling wastes (consisting of
drilling cuttings and drilling fluids) from hydrocarbon exploration activities with water
based muds and synthetic based muds onto and into land via landfarming,
landspreading, injection spreading and irrigation. This permit was originally issued by
the Taranaki Regional Council on 20 November 2009 under Section 87(e) of the
Resource Management Act and was amended, 20 February 2016. It is due to expire on 1
