Executive summary
The Hickman JD 1997 Family Trust (the Company) operates a road transport depot located on
Waste Management and
Minimisation Strategy and also NPDC's Waste Management and
Minimisation Plan, both of which identify organic wastes as a
priority and where alternatives to landfill should be made
available where feasible.
The Uruti Composting Facility operated by Remediation (NZ) Ltd
provides a local regional disposal option for organic wastes.
With the eminent closure of the regional landfill at Colson
Road, and the need to transport waste outside the region for
landfill disposal, the
