Executive summary
This report, for the period July 2018 to June 2019, describes the monitoring
knowledge that Ngāti Mutunga
whānau have – ngā taonga tuku iho. We found that the tool used a good balance of
mātauranga Māori and science data collection. This will make it easier to be recognised by
Taranaki Regional Council and the New Plymouth District Council while still putting Ngāti
Mutunga cultural values and concerns first.

achieved using telemetry, which is explained in this leaflet.
Even when your water usage is being telemetered, your property will continue to undergo an
annual compliance monitoring inspection. A Council

others.
When I have been through challenges in life I have
frequented this awa to cleanse my self and to get
healing, which is what my tipuna did in the day as well

viable option, the mauri( life force) and the wairua and
integrity of my awa tipuna has been severely
compromised by Remediation and their practices and
this too has been enabled by the Taranaki Regional
