there were no solid flecks of zinc visible around this stormwater drain. Solid flecks of
zinc were visible on both the gravel and concreted areas around the building and
galvanized items were laid out around the perimeter of the yard. It was advised that
zinc flecks be picked up on a regular basis, particularly when heavy rain was forecast.
It was also advised that if the gravel areas around the site were frequently being used
to dry items, that this area be concreted to ensure that any flecks

1.3.1 Water abstraction permits
Section 14 of the RMA stipulates that no person may take, use, dam or divert any
water, unless the activity is expressly allowed for by a resource consent or a rule in a
regional plan, or it falls within some particular categories set out in Section 14.
Todd Energy holds water abstraction permit 1226-1 to take water from the Mangahewa
Stream for process, fire fighting and
17.9°C in February 2013 during a period of
low flow conditions. Dissolved oxygen saturation did not fall below 88% during the
period, with this minimum recorded under a period of lengthy very low flow
conditions (Figure 3).

categories set out in Section 14.
TBP holds two water permits that provide for abstraction of water, one from the Inaha Stream and one from
groundwater.
Surface water extraction
TBP holds water permit 2051-4 to cover the abstraction of up to 50 L/s of water from the Inaha Stream for a
rendering operation. This permit was issued by the Council on 31 May 1999 under Section 87(d) of the RMA.
It is due to

The Company holds water permit 1795-4 to cover the taking of water from the Waiaua River in association
