Issue: Recognising and providing for the relationship of Tangata Whenua
and iwi and hapu of Taranaki and their culture tapu and traditions with
their water, sites, wāhi tapu and other taonga
community conversation from September to October 2023 and produced a consultation document which contained options informed by feedback gathered from earlier conversations with iwi and the community. This document is below and provides a wealth of background information about the Waitara Catchment FMU. including, but not restricted to, the Local Government Act 2002, the Resource Management
Act 1991 and the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
