Recommendations
That the Taranaki Solid Waste Management Committee of the Taranaki Regional
Council:
a) takes as read and confirms the minutes and resolutions of the Taranaki Solid
Waste Management Committee meeting held in the
Executive, spoke to the memorandum receive and consider
the Council’s submission on the NZ Transport Agency’s options document seeking the
community’s feedback on the options for improvements to the Awakino Gorge to Mt
Messenger route.
7.2 The NZ Transport Agency options (1,2 or 3) for improvements on SH3 from Mt
Messenger to Awakino Gorge were discussed. The Council supported option 3 as the
best option for improving traffic management and safety along the route, a view that is
in line
