community’s feedback on the options for improvements to the Awakino Gorge to Mt
Messenger route.
7.2 The NZ Transport Agency options (1,2 or 3) for improvements on SH3 from Mt
Messenger to Awakino Gorge were discussed. The Council supported option 3 as the
best option for improving traffic management and safety along the route, a view that is
